AMETEK to acquire First Aviation Services, expanding aerospace MRO capabilities

AMETEK has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire First Aviation Services a leading provider of component maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for military, corporate, and commercial airline customers.

The acquisition will strengthen AMETEK’s aerospace MRO portfolio and expand its capabilities in mission-critical aviation services. Following the completion of the transaction, First Aviation Services will operate within the North American Business Unit of AMETEK’s MRO Division while retaining its existing leadership team. Paul Bolton will continue to lead the company as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Commenting on the transaction, Bolton said AMETEK’s strong industry expertise and operational resources would support First Aviation’s future growth plans.
